I AM LEGEND

Last night Kurt and I hung out. We went to Panera Bread, a nationwide bakery type of restaurant that just came to Beaverton. It had only been open three days or something, so everyone looked pretty lost. My cashier told me "thanks, enjoy the show....I mean enjoy your meal." Haha classic. Overall it is a pretty cool place to eat. Good choice Kurt.

Then we went and saw Will Smith's latest blockbuster I Am Legend. We've all seen the previews of this one. Kurt seemed to sum it up pretty well on his blog. I would say that the movie is Castaway meets Signs. It has both of those elements. It is definitely more of an action movie than a sci-fi and like Kurt said it isn't for the faint of heart. It was one of the movies where I kept saying "o my....are you kidding me?" to myself. I give it a B+. It was shorter than two hours long, but the ending will surprise you.

I won't give anything away other than what I've said, but I will say that I love to hear subtle lines that shows that even Hollywood is still searching for something bigger than themselves. That can only be encouraging.

Mer and I saw the movie last night. It is a remake of an old cheesy 70's movie called the "Omega Man". The implications between living in the light and darkness are huge!

I heard it had a pretty abrupt ending. But it looks worth seeing. It would scare the pants off Kesha!
